About Us
Steve and Amber are both recovering alcoholics with long-term sobriety and understand the process of recovery. They are also certified drug and alcohol counselors, as well as Registered Addiction Specialists. They understand recovery is not just about not picking up a drink or a drug. Recovery involves many life changing events that can be painful and frightening. Sometimes one needs to change his or her friends, the places they frequent, intimate relationships, possibly a job, as well as to learn new ways of responding to life's stressors. This can only be accomplished by practicing in a safe, supportive environment. We are not meant to live in a box. The Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous tells us we can go anywhere "normal" people go; however, we do need to learn some life skills and have some tools.
Having both worked in the professional world prior to working with recovering alcoholics, Steve and Amber Knight are also equipped with many practical life skills that they pass down to their guests if needed. They are also long-term residents of Huntington Beach and are very familiar with local resources. Most of all, Steve and Amber know that addiction is a deadly disease and they are committed to tough love, accountability, truth and integrity, all which are required to help you or your loved one learn to live a sober life.
